John Hamrin (COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services Scholarship)

John Hamrin is the Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholarship winner. One Heartland employee said of John, "he exemplifies all that is good in young people, today and for all times.” John is an education major who serves as a role model to his younger brother, mentors in the workforce services program at Heartland and maintains an excellent GPA.

Andrea Renken (Trustee Scholarship)

Andrea Renken is the Pontiac Township High School valedictorian and a Trustee Scholar. Studying in the field of Criminal Justice, Andrea wants to protect the children of our community. Andrea describes herself as a “question oriented” individual, and appreciates Heartland’s small class size and interactive environment.

Bonnie Sechrest (Dean's Scholarship and Poulton/Mitchell Family Scholarship)

Bonnie Sechrest is not only a Heartland student, but also the mother of two Heartland students. The future early childhood teacher is getting hands on experience at the Child Care Center on campus. She currently is an employee in the Chenoa School District and "one of their most trusted and dedicated employees."
