Scholarship recipients supported by the Foundation

Last year the Heartland Community College Foundation awarded 53 scholarships totaling over $70,000. The application process is simple and the Foundation staff are available to assist you with any questions. You can even apply for more than one scholarship! Check the requirements of each scholarship to determine if you qualify.

Apply early...the deadline is March 1st for completed scholarship applications.

Scholarship Criteria

Scholarships are awarded based on a diverse criteria, including:

  • Academic excellence
  • Community service
  • Specific majors such as teaching, business and information technology
  • Residency in specific counties (ex: Livingston County)
  • And many more...see the scholarship guide for details

Financial Need

  • Financial Need is not always a determining factor in scholarship awards
  • Make sure you fill out the FAFSA forms.
    • Many applications are incomplete simply because this is missing.
    • It is a simple form your parents fill out just like their tax returns.
    • Filling out this form CANNOT hurt you!!!

If you have any questions, the Foundation wants to help. Please contact Heather Gray at 268-8109.
